I was inspired by an amazing chef named Sara, that I had the pleasure to work with during my time in Colombia. Every morning she would make the most delicious vegetarian meals for us, while we were working on the farm all day. One morning she made us these oat milk smoothies with our breakfast and I fell in love. It was super simple yet the perfect drink for the morning. Ever since then I learned how to make it, I make one every morning with my own twist.

Oat Milk Smoothie

This is my simple, staple smoothie recipe that I make almost every morning.

Ingredients

Smoothie

  • 1 Banana
  • 1 Tbsp Ground Flaxseed * It's always better to get whole flax seeds and ground them yourself because they have more of a nutritional benefit.
  • 1 Tbsp Acai Powder
  • 1 Tsp Cacao Powder * Optional
  • 1 Tbsp Peanut butter * Optional
  • 2 Cups Oat Milk

Instructions

  • Blend together oat milk, banana, and any or all of the remaining additional ingredients until you get a smooth consistency.
  • Pour in a glass and enjoy your quick breakfast drink.
